Scholarships open doors to opportunity
We currently offer the Clairemont School Foundation Scholarship to Students entering grade 1-6 only.
Clairemont School Foundation Scholarships is exclusive to students who show enthusiasm and motivation for academic excellence and whose families demonstrate financial need. The Foundation has established these scholarships for students entering grades 1–6 to provide an opportunity for students to reap the benefits of attending a private independent school, students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to do so. The amount of the scholarship will vary according to the family’s financial need as determined by the financial award process. These scholarships are renewable through graduation and do not need to be repaid.
Who is eligible for Clairemont Scholarships?
New students who are applying for admission to grades 1–6 and meet the following criteria may apply for Clairemont Scholarships:
- Must be a citizen of Nigeria;
- Must be entering grades 1–6;
- Show enthusiasm and motivation for academic excellence, evidenced by grade reports and test scores.
- Most live within Clairemont school and its environs
- Demonstrate strong financial need and will not ordinarily afford private school education.
- Most come out tops in the annual Clairemont school scholarship examination
What is the application process for Clairemont Scholarships?
If your child meets the eligibility criteria and would like to apply for a Clairemont Scholarship:
- Please complete the Clairemont School online admissions application and requirements including the Clairemont Foundation Scholarship Application form
- Finalists will be invited for a personal interview.
- Scholarship applications for the upcoming school year should be completed by March 15. Applications may be accepted at later times at the discretion of the Director of Admissions.
How much of a Clairemont Scholarship can a student receive?
The amount of the scholarship award will vary according to the family’s financial need as determined by the tuition assistance award process. Students may receive a full tuition scholarship but some may not. Scholars are eligible to renew scholarships from their first year at Clairemont through graduation. To qualify for a Clairemont Scholarship, a family must demonstrate a minimum of at least 80 percent need.
